Overview
Address poisoning is an attack that sends tiny transactions to pollute a user's history with fake lookalike addresses. Users may accidentally copy the fake address and send funds to the attacker. It exploits copy-paste behavior.
How It Works
Attackers send near-zero-value transactions from addresses that resemble the user's frequent contacts, with matching prefix and suffix. When the user copies an address from history, they may pick the poisoned one. Funds sent to it are lost.
